Cincinnati Opera had not published an annual report or community report in recent history, so I was very excited when they asked me to work with them to put together a document that would showcase their efforts over the past year.

Cincinnati Opera turned 100 in 2020, and events to celebrate that milestone were years in the making. All that was thrown out the window when the pandemic hit. Very quickly Cincinnati Opera turned into a multi-media enterprise. To be fair, they have always had a strong selection of offerings beyond opera on stage, so they were well-poised to take on this challenge.

The community report gives a nod to the season that wasn’t, then highlights their virtual programming, in-person community events (socially distanced, of course), and an hour-long documentary-concert commemorating the history of Cincinnati Opera, among other features.

With lots of great images and compelling content, we were able to produce a visually-engaging tribute to a company that embraced the circumstances of a very challenging year.
