The Bethesda Foundation — the fundraising arm for the Bethesda Hospitals in Cincinnati as well as Hospice of Cincinnati and Fernside, A Center for Grieving Children — developed a program to reward nurses, doctors, and other employees for referring satisfied patients to the Foundation. Referring individuals would receive a thank-you card, including a Bethesda Bucks gift card, which could be used in the Bethesda North Hospital gift shop or cafe.
