As part of Cincinnati Opera’s education outreach, they have developed “Let’s Cook Up an Opera,” which presents young people with the elements of opera, and how an opera comes together. They asked for a postcard to send to schools.

Looking for an image that would be fun and appealing to both teachers and young people, I offered Cincinnati Opera a range of stock imagery from a Pixar-style character, to retro photography, to the finally-selected 50’s era illustration. Once they bought in to the 50’s era illustration, we reinforced it with the colors, type and pattern.

The brand further developed as it was applied to web graphics and a study guide.
