Wedding Invitation for Jennifer Mertens and Kevin VandeVoorde
When I first spoke with Jennifer Mertens about her invitation, she talked about the various communities with which she looked forward to sharing this event. She also spoke about her fiancee's scientific perspective. The illustration is intended to evoke the overlapping layers of community that surround the union of Jennifer and Kevin. The image is rose-like, but also references scientific imagery. We used the accordion fold as a unique but simple and cost-effective way to make the experience of the invitation special.
